OUR HISTORY.

A company with roots going back more than 80 years

In 1989 our father left his job as a driver to set up his own business and bought his first lorry, initially dedicated to collecting citrus fruit in the fields.

In 1990 he changed to his second vehicle and continued to pick citrus fruit.

Over time, he moved into the industrial sector and little by little he consolidated his own company and made a name for himself in the transport sector in Castellón.

In January 2015, after his retirement, our children took over the company and founded CHAICHIO TRANSPORTS S.L. in memory of our paternal grandfather, Eugenio Palomo Chaichio, who was a famous road haulier.

Since then, as our father taught us, we work in an honest and honest way, treating our customers and their orders as if they were our own.

We are a family business and we are close to our customers. We don’t know if we are the best, but we try to be in every service we provide.

ORIGINS

We named the company Chaichio Transports in homage to our paternal grandfather, Eugenio Palomo Chaichio, nicknamed “El Carretero”. In the 1940s he took part in the construction of the Casa de Piedra de Porcuna (Jaén), now a National Monument. He was esteemed and respected for his great skill in handling the animals and carts with which he worked.

Amongst his feats, his participation in the transport of the great table of the Casa de Piedra, 7 metres long by 2 metres wide and 16 centimetres thick and weighing 7000 kg, carved in one piece in the quarry and transported several kilometres to its current location in the courtyard of the monument, was particularly noteworthy.

CURRENT

With the intention of improving our services and adapting to the new times, we decided to create our own brand based on our surname “Palomo”, by which we are known.
